At CARA, we are committed to supporting the people behind the rescues. Those working in rescue often face burnout and compassion fatigue, giving so much of themselves while working tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to keep organizations running.
CARA is dedicated to providing mental health support for those who need it. We offer connections to help and services across Canada, including both one-on-one and group sessions, creating a safe space where rescue workers can feel supported, heard, and understood. We also help connect individuals with local resources and additional supports tailored to their needs.
At CARA, we recognize that individuals working in international animal rescue often face significant emotional strain, including compassion fatigue and burnout, due to the intensity and urgency of their work. To support their mental health and overall well-being, we are committed to providing accessible resources, practical tools, and tailored guidance that address these challenges head-on. This includes educational materials on recognizing early signs of stress, strategies for building resilience, and approaches to maintaining healthy boundaries while continuing to provide care. By fostering a culture that prioritizes mental wellness, CARA aims to empower rescue partners with the support they need to sustain their vital efforts while protecting their own emotional health.
Marketing and social media strategies and implementation to help animal rescues reach more people, faster, with clearer impact. By sharing accurate, heart-led stories of the animals your rescue saves, spotlighting volunteers, and showing transparent results to build trust and awareness. Consistent messaging makes it easier for adopters to find their match, for fosters and volunteers to join, and for donors to see where their support goes..
It is a profound honor to serve as a partner to the Canadian Animal Rescue Association (CARA) and, by extension, the incredibly dedicated community of rescuers. We are deeply inspired by the passion and tireless effort you pour into every animal, and we are committed to providing a platform that honors that dedication by treating your mission with the same seriousness and care that you do.
The heart of the platform is the “unified animal profile”, a comprehensive view of every animal’s journey. Every event - whether it’s a public adoption day, a private meet-and-greet, a vet visit, or a transport record - is tied directly to that animal’s profile alongside their medical records, foster history, adoption applications and much more. To support these operations, we provide a seamless foster matchmaking engine to cross-reference animal needs with foster capacity, and an automated adoption process with integrated e-signatures and secure payment processing to handle the paperwork of saving lives instantly.
Beyond logistics, EveryTail empowers your public presence with integrated website templates that sync natively with your EveryTail database, ensuring your available animals update in real-time. Love your current website? So do we! We’ve ensured that all of your animals’ profile information is easily accessible via API, so you remain empowered to use your current website if preferred.
We understand that the work of rescue is both emotionally demanding and physically taxing, often leaving little room for the administrative portions of technical transitions.
Because we know how precious your time is, we have made it our priority to simplify and assist with the onboarding and data migration process, ensuring your historical records are transitioned with the respect they deserve.
